Happy 4th of July!

Happy Birthday to the United States of America! What better way to honor this great nation of ours than to dive into tons of content surrounding the greatest professional sports franchise ever situated in these United States. Here’s hoping wherever you are and whoever you’re with this 4th of July, you’re able to crack open a cold one and talk some Packers.

Packers Building That Chemistry

You can't have a winning team in any sport without good team chemistry. What that team chemistry achieves can vary from sport to sport, but the result is always success. Outside of football, my second sport is hockey. When hockey players have good chemistry on the ice, they can usually pass the puck to their teammate exactly where the recipient wants it for them to take a shot. On defense, good team chemistry will result in teammates knowing where the other is or will be, at all times. If an opponent skating with the puck breaks one way, good team chemistry allows a defender to stay in position knowing their teammate will pick up that puck handler. Team chemistry on a football team, in ways, can be very similar.

The Packers have the chance to have a very special type of chemistry in 2024.

Carry The G Radio: 2024 Packers training camp battles

Aaron and Bill take a look at the position battles they are most looking forward to when the Packers begin training camp on July 22nd at Ray Nitschke Field.

Who Are the Packers' Ideal 'Best Five' on the Offensive Line?

Heading into training camp, only two starters are guaranteed for the Green Bay Packers' offensive line in 2024: Zach Tom and Elgton Jenkins. Tom will start at right tackle, a position where he excelled by holding former Defensive Player of the Year T.J. Watt, former All-Pro Cameron Jordan, and Pro Bowler Aidan Hutchinson to just nine QB pressures over 125 pass-blocking snaps. Jenkins is likely to start at left guard, where he allowed zero sacks in 544 pass-blocking snaps last season.

How will the rest of the Packers offensive line look when they kickoff in Brazil in September?

Romeo Doubs Can Be "The Guy"

As Packer fans look forward to the coming season, many observers have pointed out that Green Bay does not seem to have a true number one receiver. That instead there is a large, talented group of pass catchers who excel at different facets of the position. Furthermore, some suggest the lack of a number one is actually beneficial, in that defenses can’t key on any individual. That Jordan Love will be better off just spreading the ball around equally.

Ken Lass doesn’t buy it and writes fans shouldn’t be surprised if Romeo Doubs emerges as Jordan Love’s go-to wide receiver.

Don't Measure Lloyd's Skill By His Size

MarShawn Lloyd is fully capable of doing all those things and even more as the Packers write a new chapter of smaller Packers running backs. Guys like James Starks, Brandon Jackson and Vince Workman. The difference is that Lloyd can be better than all of those guys. He has an electric presence. And what’s great is that the Packers aren’t expecting great things out of him right away. That’s what Josh Jacobs is for. The Packers just need the 5-foot-9, 220-pound Lloyd to give dynamic glimpses. Absorb as much as he can and be willing to learn. Most of all, do whatever he can, to get on the field. If that means chip blocking a dominant pass rushers like Josh Allen, Aidan Hutchinson or Nick Bosa, then he has to accept that and do it.

The Passing Chronicles: Ringing in the New Year (aka, Aggie)

Last New Year’s Eve, the Packers went into Minnesota and beat the brakes off the Vikings in their own building, continuing to show off just how far the offense had come since the shaky days in the early part of the season. Certainly one of those nights Packers fans will remember for a very long time.

Dusty Evely takes a look back at the first Packers TD in that game, breaking down Jordan Love’s throw to Jayden Reed and how it came about.
