Next up: Training camp!

Hoping the phone doesn’t ring

We're officially in the dead period of the NFL calendar year. That time when you DON’T want to hear any news about your Green Bay Packers. Players are "released on their own recognizance" from off season team activities and left to their own devices out in the wild. The Packers have been fortunate over the years to not have too many bad things happen during this period, but you can be sure there's a collective "holding of their breath" among the Packers executives and coaching staff over the next few weeks.

With that said, Jersey Al always has a few things on his mind when it comes to the Green and Gold. Be sure to check out his latest weekly column.

Packers review and divisional predictions

On the latest installment of Carry The G Radio, Aaron and Billy take stock of where the Packers stand heading into their summer break and look around the division while giving their predictions on how the NFC North shakes out.

Where Does Jordan Morgan Belong?

In the first round of this year's draft, the Packers selected left tackle Jordan Morgan. At first glance, you'd think Morgan is a left tackle and that's it—37 collegiate starts at left tackle, and nowhere else. With the team finally parting ways with All-Pro lineman David Bakhtiari, it would be pretty fitting for them to take a left tackle early, plug them in and take off. But the Packers have depth on their offensive line, they don't just plug and go. They want to make sure that when they take the field on game day, they're not just fielding the best two tackles, the best two guards, and the best center on their roster, they're fielding the five best offensive linemen on their roster. That's why they selected Jordan Morgan. Despite his collegiate career never leaving the blindside, Morgan has the talent to move to the guard position and the right side of the line as well.

So where does he belong in 2024? Greg Meinholz takes us through the various places Morgan could end up along the Packers offensive line.

Is Josh Jacobs An Upgrade Over Aaron Jones?

In March, the Green Bay Packers' running back room briefly featured both Josh Jacobs and Aaron Jones for less than 90 minutes before the team released Jones. Both players are incredibly talented and rank among the best running backs in the league, but could Josh Jacobs actually be an upgrade over Aaron Jones?

Jones has played 97 games in his NFL career, while Jacobs has played 73. Green Bay is getting a younger back in Jacobs, who has more career rushing touchdowns and rushing yards than Jones despite having a shorter sample size. Be sure to check out how the two compare throughout their NFL careers.

5 Packers Breakout Candidates in 2024

Aaron chats with CHTV contributor Mark Oldacres about his five breakout candidates for the 2024 Packers season.

Emanuel Wilson out to prove himself again

After making the 53-man roster in 2023, the running back room is even more competitive for Emanuel Wilson in his second year.

Wilson seems to have the potential to be a solid RB3 and there was some chatter early in the offseason that he could have some RB2 potential. But with the Packers signing Josh Jacobs, re-signing AJ Dillon, and drafting MarShawn Lloyd, it seems as if his chances of making the roster have gotten thinner.

Jordan Love Eager for the New Season

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love is eager for training camp and the 2024 season to begin. Love has much to look forward to. Both he and the team finished the 2023 season strong and made the playoffs with the youngest roster in the league.

And then there were two…kickers.

The Packers Have Gotten Good Value in the Seventh Round of the Draft Recently

It is rare for NFL teams to have great success in the seventh and final round of the NFL Draft. In fact, a seventh-round pick has a 30 to 35 percent chance of even making an NFL roster, let alone becoming a significant contributor or a starter. Despite these odds, Green Bay Packers GM Brian Gutekunst has found some contributors in the seventh round in recent years with some promising additions made in this year’s draft as well.
