Packers dominate Dolphins on Thanksgiving
Jordan Love finally gets his turkey leg
How fitting that LeRoy Butler, the man who invented the Lambeau Leap, brought out a plethora of well deserved turkey legs for QB Jordan Love, RB Josh Jacobs and LB Isaiah McDuffie as the Packers celebrated another Thanksgiving victory. QB Love finished 21/28 throwing for 274 YDS and 2 TD with back to back games of no interceptions. RB Jacobs finished with 43 YDS rushing on 19 carries with a touchdown but was the Packers second leading receiver with 4 catches for 74 YDS. LB McDuffie lead the team with 7 solo tackles and 10 total in a game which he almost did not play.

Packers 30, Dolphins 17: Game Balls / Lame Calls
The sacks are back. It took several weeks, but Green Bay’s defense rediscovered the ability to seriously pressure the opposing quarterback, getting to Tua Tagovailoa for five sacks and several servings of additional harassment, leading the Packers to a 30-17 win at Lambeau.
It’s an important win, and not just because it was the team’s most complete, dominating performance of the season in all three phases. Over the past two games the Packers have looked more like they did in the second half of last year, which ought to have Dan Campbell and Kevin O’Connell looking worriedly over their shoulders. LaFleur is in a play-calling groove, Jordan Love has settled into a rhythm, the defense out-muscled the opposition and Brandon McManus is money.
Granted, Miami — like San Francisco last Sunday — was playing without some key contributors, as it seemed like a Dolphin got injured every third play. But the Packers demonstrated they are simply the better, more physical team, and they took care of business as they should have.
Check out this week’s Game Balls and Lame Calls.

Packers Snap Counts: Week 13 vs. The Dolphins
Once again the Packers did not elevate anyone from the Practice Squad. Minnesota earlier in the week offered a roster spot to ILB Jamin Davis, and he signed a contract with the Vikings. The Packers had an open roster spot so they could have matched Minnesota's offer. Perhaps they did - all we know is that Davis is now with the Vikings. Jaire Alexander, Edgerrin Cooper, and Romeo Doubs were inactive due to injury. OG Jacob Monk was once again a healthy scratch. QB Malik Willis and TE John FitzPatrick did not play.
Take a look at the Packers Snap Counts from last night’s game.
Tonight was Matt LaFleur’s 65th career regular-season win, moving him past Bill Cowher, Mike Holmgren and Andy Reid for sole possession of the No. 2 spot for the most wins by a head coach in his first six seasons behind only George Seifert (75), per the Elias Sports Bureau.

The Lass Word: Plenty of positives
n recent years, the legendary cold weather, home field advantage for the Green Bay Packers has been mostly myth. Warm weather teams ( the Buccaneers and 49ers) came to the frozen tundra in January and beat the Pack in the playoffs two years in a row. But on Thanksgiving night this year, the game time wind chill of 15 degrees seemed to actually provide a bit of a bite into the opponents game plan. Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa appeared to be in need of de-icing, as he missed several open receivers in the first half.
Meanwhile, the Green Bay offense had no trouble with the snow flurried conditions, scoring on four of their six first half possessions, finishing the game by running the ball for 114 yards, and throwing for 274 more. They did not turn the ball over, and allowed no sacks. By the time Tua and his fellow fish warmed up to the task, it was too late. The Packers had put the game in coasting mode and secured their ninth win. They have already equaled their regular season win total of last year, with five games to play. They sit solidly in the sixth position in the playoff rankings, and continue to breathe down the necks of the Vikings, who must play unpredictable Arizona on Sunday. Plenty of positives to break down in this game…
