Packers Take Control Of The NFC North

Packers-Bears Was a Game of Redemption
The Packers are back on top of the NFC North. What a glorious feeling.
Sunday's matchup with Chicago was a day filled with adversity. As a team, the Packers had multiple opportunities to redeem themselves. Last season, the Packers dropped their final game to Chicago at Lambeau Field. They fell to 1-5 in divisional games on the season. Combine that with the fact that Ben Johnson as a play caller has had a lot of success against Green Bay, going 5-1 against Green Bay when calling plays in the past. Fortunately, those wrong's were righted. The Packers got revenge over their divisional foe, and improved their divisional record to 4-0.
Jordan Love started the day by doing the one thing he knew he couldn't - turned the ball over. But he was able to rebound in a big way. The Packers' defense dominated the first half, but really struggled to get off the field in the second half until a heroic play was made by one of the least likely candidates. But that's what made the day even more gratifying. Despite all of the turbulence throughout the game (and even other external factors), players were able to bounce back when it mattered most. "In these games, division game, everything on the line," Jordan Love said after the game. "That's when you need your best players to go out there and make their best plays."
Sunday's victory boiled down to one common theme - redemption.

Christian Watson is Green Bay's WR1
Since returning in week eight, Christian Watson has been on an absolute tear.
Want to hear a fun fact? Despite missing the first seven games of the 2025 season, he’s still on pace to have a career year. He’ll beat all of his statistical bests with 3 more touchdowns, 168 yards, and 16 more receptions. With four games remaining this year, he’s on pace to do exactly that.
That’s assuming he maintains his current production numbers, and there’s really no reason to think that he won’t. Will opposing defense start to key in on Watson more? Almost certainly, and this Sunday’s matchup in Denver will be a great test, as he’ll likely be seeing a lot of the reigning defensive player of the year, Pat Surtain II. Denver plays one of the highest rates of man coverage in the league, at 40%. Guess who is also one of the best receivers in the league against man coverage this year? That’s right, it’s Watson.
Now, the tale of the 2025 season is obviously far from over, but Watson’s journey has been so, so impressive throughout it. From his near superhuman return from a devastating injury, to the on field breakout, and every single story of how he contributes to the Green Bay community.
For the Packers to get where they want to go, Watson’s role is clear: continue the breakout.

Another Victory Monday is here, Packers fans and so are Aaron Nagler and Andy Herman to break down Green Bay’s 28-21 win over the Chicago Bears.
Don’t Blitz Jordan Love
Teams incapable of getting pressure with four are going to be in for a long day against the Packers, as Love continues to absolutely dice up opposing defenses when they blitz.
According to PFF, Love went nine of 12 for 171 yards and three touchdowns against Chicago when they sent extra rushers, and is their highest graded quarterback against the blitz in 2025. He is also their 2nd highest graded QB when kept clean, as Green Bay’s offensive line was able to do for most of the day on Sunday, even when the Bears did send pressure. Preventing Love from picking defenses apart is becoming a more and more difficult task, and the Packers offense is extremely potent because of it.
