Packers Pass Rush Could Become an X-Factor Down the Stretch
The Packers' pass rush has had its share of big sack games this year, taking down the Quarterback four or more times in three games this season, one of those games putting up eight, but after those big games, they always follow it up with only 1 or 2. So, the sack stats are inconsistent. The QB pressures however have been there as they average 8.5 per game this season, they just have not translated to sacks. Especially for Rashan Gary who accounts for 20% of the team's QB pressures total, himself. Lukas Van Ness who after the Packers traded away Preston Smith, has been expected to ramp up his play, which he has a little bit, collecting two sacks in the last three games, but it's just not been enough. It's begun to feel like the Packers can do everything but actually get to the QB, and it's been very frustrating, to say the least.
Heading into the final stretch, though, the Packers have an opportunity to turn that luck around.
Packers Player Storylines To Buy, Sell, and Hold
Oh how NFL season comes and goes in the blink of an eye.
As it does, new headlines develop, players progress or regress, and visions of the future take hold. For the Green Bay Packers, in a season destined for yet another playoff birth, a few player developments have started to take hold that have substantial roster implications for this season and beyond.
From a buy, sell, and hold perspective, here's what to make of those player storylines.

Luke Musgrave back at practice
The Packers have opened up second year tight end Luke Musgrave's 21 day practice window, designating him to return from injured reserve.
Earlier this season, head coach Matt LaFleur confirmed that Musgrave underwent surgery to the ankle that landed him on the injured reserve. The tight end had tried to play through the pain initially but the coaches and medical staff determined the injury was too severe and had to shut him down. Through the first four weeks of the season, multiple tight end formations accounted for 12.5 percent of the total snaps. We'll see if that kind of participation returns when Musgrave gets back on the field.
As to when that could be, the team has 21 days from Wednesday to either activate Musgrave to the 53 man roster or place him back on injured reserve which would end his season.
Possible Playoff Preview for Packers
The Sunday Night clash between the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks is a possible NFC playoff preview. If the NFL playoffs started today, the 6 seed vs 3 seed NFC wild card matchup would be Packers at Seahawks. The last time the Packers finished as the 6 seed in the NFC playoffs was in 2010, when it went on to win Super Bowl XLV.
This weekend, the Packers are going into a stadium they haven’t had much success in. Since Lumen Field opened in 2002, the Packers have played in Seattle six times, winning just once. The one win was in 2008 with a first-year starter in Aaron Rodgers, defeating Mike Holmgren in his final season in Seattle. It was the Super Bowl-winning head coach’s worst season as a head man, as the Seahawks finished the season 4-12.
The last time the Packers played in Seattle, Green Bay held a 14-3 first quarter lead, but could not hold in the second half, falling by the score of 27-24. This will be the third straight regular season game between the two teams played at Lumen Field that will be played in primetime.
It will likely be critical for the Packers offense to start off like games against San Francisco and Miami, in order to get this first win in Seattle in 16 years. In those two games, the Packers led 17-0 and 21-3 in the first half. The Packers trailed at the half by double digits in three of their four losses. Green Bay is 6-0 when leading at halftime this season, 3-4 when trailing. The wins came in games against the Rams, Texans and Bears.
