Who is this year's Packers breakout star?
Would Matt Stafford have more rings than Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay?
CJ Stroud is evidently a big Matthew Stafford fan, saying he thinks Stafford would have won a few more Super Bowls with teams Aaron Rodgers failed to do so with. Our Al Bracco writes that he’s not sure how to interpret exactly what Stroud means (we doubt he thinks Stafford is a better QB), but if he's saying that Stafford would have just run the offense or would have just hit the open receiver instead of trying to force the ball to his favorite WR at key moments in playoff games, Al could agree with that. However, the Packers defense gave up tons of points in Rodgers' playoff losses, not to mention the only ring Stafford does currently have was only made possible because a 49ers safety dropped a gift of a classic boneheaded Stafford interception ball at the end of the NFC Championship.
Gutekunst, Packers aiming to get Jordan Love extension done by camp
The Packers want to get it done. Jordan Love and his representatives want to get it done. It will get done.
That was the message from Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst as he appeared on 97.3 The Game earlier this week, telling the station "We're in those conversations right now. Both parties want the same thing. We'd like to get this done before training camp for sure."
This Year’s Breakout Star? Karl Brooks
It’s always hard to predict how players will perform in year two; Lukas Van Ness could turn out to be the edge monster that justifies his first-round selection. Dontayvion Wicks might become the next Davante Adams. And this year’s draft class has intriguing prospects. But Karl Brooks’ arrow is pointing way up.
Will the Eric Stokes of 2021 Please Stand Up?
If Eric Stokes sees an improvement in the nagging injuries that have plagued him the last two years, there is a chance we could see a return to 2021 form. Heading into 2024 at the corner position, everyone is talking about Jaire, Carrington Valentine, Keisean Nixon, even rookie draft pick, Kalen King is generating buzz. Many had the Packers picking a Cornerback early in the 2024 draft, but they didn't choose one until the 7th round. This could be due in part to some confidence that Eric Stokes could have a resurgence.
🧀 New Packers Defensive Coordinator Jeff Hafley has one message for his unit this season:
🚫Don't think. Play.
😤CB Eric Stokes told reporters he already let them know he'll take the heat for any mistakes. Just go out there and have fun.

Enjoying Aaron Rodgers from a Distance
Ken Lass writes that Aaron Rodgers is, without question, the most quotable player in league history. His name will one day be on the wall at Lambeau Field. Rodgers gave Packers fans a long history of unforgettable memories. He also brought us more unwanted drama than any Packer in my more than sixty years. Ken is delightfully entertained to watch that drama unfold somewhere else, while Jordan Love begins to build his own legacy in Titletown.
The Passing Chronicles: An Opening Shot (aka, Strike Blaze-Out)
As he does every week, Dusty Evely takes a deep dive into one play from the Packers 2023 season. His latest looks at how Jordan Love hit Christian Watson for a 53 yard gain on the first play of the game on Thanksgiving in Detroit.
To Pay, Or Not to Pay?
Veterans rightfully earn their paydays. But how beneficial is it to give it to them?
Any good player is worth a second contract. It all depends on what the price tag may be. Big astronomical contracts should only be paid out to those whose production completely sets your group on a higher level than the rest.
Congrats to @Linsley71 on an incredible career. One of the best to ever do it at the center position in Green Bay, and I don't say that lightly. An absolute stud of a player and an even better person. Good luck with whatever comes after football. I know you'll crush it.

#PackersDaily: The depth is real
Lots of times during the offseason, coverage of any NFL team will trumpet the "depth" of talent across the roster, only for said depth never to manifest itself on Sundays. When it comes to the wide receiver position in Green Bay, the depth is real.
The Packers 2024 training camp kicks off on July 22nd. A reminder for anyone planning on attending training camp and hoping to see some hitting: The collective bargaining agreement has strict protocols for how each of the first seven days of training camp must be structured. In each of the first three days, no contact is allowed. The next two days, teams are allowed to run some competitive drill work in helmets and shorts, The sixth day is a mandatory rest day. Day 7 of camp, this year falling on July 28th, will be the first day pads are allowed to be worn at practice. See you in Green Bay on the 28th.
